Mumbai Local News: CR GM Conducts Inspection at CSMT-Thane-Dadar

Central Railway (CR) GM R.K. Yadav Immerses Himself in Passenger Experience: Travels as common man from CSMT to Thane and back by suburban local train. He also interacted with passengers, also inspected Thane and Dadar Stations.

O­n December 6, Yadav conducted footplate inspection in motorman cab from CSMT to Thane. He also inspected arrangements at Dadar station regarding Mahaparinirvan din.

A) From CSMT to Thane

- He conducted footplate inspection in motorman cab of DOWN CSMT-Kasara fast local

- He inspected enroute cleanliness of stations & tracks, tresspassing issues.

- He also inspected various safety aspects of track, OHE, signalling.

B) Thane station

- For various aspects such as cleanliness of station, toilet blocks

- He inspected traffic regulation arrangements at SATIS at city bus stand, auto stands.

- He interacted with passengers at UTS counters, interacted with ATVM facilitators & inspected self ticketing zones ATVM machines.

- He interacted with RPF/GRP staff for crowd management arrangements.

- He conducted inspection of PRS ticket centre and interacted with passengers of tatkal ticket line. He checked o­nline payment system arrangements, 2-way Mike system arrangements.

- He also inspected safety aspects, passenger complaint monitoring aspect at station manager office, he checked CCTV cameras security arrangements.

C) Commute from Thane to Dadar Slow Local Train in 2nd class

- Enroute he interacted with passengers and monitored day to day issues of passengers

- He checked announcement systems in local train. Checked display boards in local train.

- He interacted with passengers as a common man & understood their perspectives about running of local trains.

D) Inspection of Dadar station

- He observed various security arrangements, crowd monitoring aspects at Dadar station.

- He checked announcement systems, display boards, direction boards, crowd management at FOB, circulating area, monitoring of RPF/GRP/other staff.

E) Travel from Dadar to CSMT by Local train

- And inspected various safety aspects through footplate inspection.

- He observed various track, signalling, OHE, bridge safety aspects.

- Enroute he inspected cleanliness of section.
