CR inaugurates New RPF barrack, Flags off new motorcycles for patrolling duty

Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager Central Railways inaugurated the newly constructed RPF barrack“ Vaitharana”. Lahoti also flagged off 9 newly acquired Enfield motorcycles for use by RPF Personnel.

Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager of Central Railways inaugurated the newly constructed RPF barrack“ Vaitharana”, Mulund at a function organized at the RPF Reserve Lines, Mulund on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

The newly constructed RPF barrack has the capacity to house 226 RPF Personnel and has facilities like a Recreation room, Gymnasium, Modern Kitchen and Dining hall. This new barrack can prove useful in case of any eventuality since it can accommodate enough force for providing the required manpower.

Lahoti also flagged off 9 newly acquired Enfield motorcycles for use by RPF Personnel which will be distributed to various RPF posts in the Mumbai division. These motorcycles will act as a force multiplier and will enable RPF staff to reach the place of occurrence in case of any eventuality besides being used for routine patrolling duty. It can also enable patrolling round the clock at wayside stations.

Ajoy Sadany, Principal Chief Security Commissioner and Inspector General, A K Shrivastav, Principal Chief Signal and Telecommunications Engineer, R L Rana, Principal Chief Materials Manager, S K Pankaj, Senior Deputy General Manager, A N Jha, Chief Security Commissioner and Deputy Inspector General, Central Railway, Shalabh Goel, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai division and other Senior Officers from Headquarters and Mumbai division were also present.
