CR to begin daily special train between Dadar and Madgaon

The Central Railway (CR) has decided to begin a daily special train between Dadar and Madgaon to clear extra rush of passengers from March 2, 2021.

Train no 01151/01152 Dadar-Madgaon-Dadar Janshatabdi Superfast Special will now run daily instead of five days a week.

The bookings for extended trips of Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi has commenced from February 28.

Train No. 01151 will depart from Dadar every day at 5:25 am and will reach Madgaon at 14:10 hours, on the same day, said a CR official.

Similarly, Train No. 01152 will leave Madgaon every day at 14.40 hours and will arrive Dadar at 23:15 hours, on the same day.

Dadar - Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express is one of the prominent train of Indian railways that runs between Dadar Central and Madgaon Junction. The total distance covered by the train is 572km and average speed of the train is 65km/hr. This route has a total of 10 stoppages.

These train comprises of AC Executive Chair Car (EC), AC Chair Car (CC) and second class (2S) seating coaches.

Enroute this train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Madgaon Junction, stations in both directions.

At present, only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these special trains adhering all norms, SOPs related to COVID-19 during the boarding, travel and at destination.
