Five Mumbai CR Ticket Checking Staff Felicitated For Their Performance

During April-2021 to March-2022, Central Railway’s Ticket checking staff detected 35.39 lakh cases and recovered an amount of INR 214.41 crores as a penalty.

Central Railways 27 Ticket Checking Staff were awarded for their outstanding performance including 5 staff from Headquarters, 5 from Mumbai division 7 from Bhusaval division, 4 from Pune division and 3 each from Nagpur and Solapur division.

During April-2021 to March-2022, Central Railway’s Ticket checking staff detected 35.39 lakh cases and recovered an amount of INR 214.41 crores as a penalty. This is the highest ever revenue among all Zonal Railways for the financial year 2021-22 and the highest ever in the history of Railways under the guidance of Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railways.

The 27 Ticket checking staff who have been felicitated have contributed greatly towards achieving this goal. Details of Ticket Checking earnings amounting to more than one crore are as follows:

  • Mohammed Sams, TTI, Mumbai Division INR 1.25 crore
  • J. J. Darbe, Head Ticket Examiner, Nagpur Division INR 1.07 crore
  • Abhishek Sinha, TTI, Mumbai Division, INR 1.05 crore
  • Dharmendra Kumar, TTI, HQ, Mumbai INR 1.05 crore
  • K. K. Patel, TE, Bhusawal Division, INR 1.03 crore
  • Sunil Nainani, TTI, Mumbai Division, INR 1.03 crore

Apart from these, contributions by other Ticket checking staff earning more than 75 lakh rupees during the FY 2021-2022 are also worth mentioning.

Two Ticket checking staff have been specially felicitated for having shown a different approach towards the performance of their duties :

Rajendra Katkar, Head Travelling Ticket Examiner, Pune division, while performing duty in train no 01040 on August 8, 2021, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) on a 2-year-old child and saved its life.

S K Dubey, Chief Ticket Inspector, Mumbai division, detected a group of people without tickets on train no 12294 Duronto Express and realized an amount of INR 17,435/- as a penalty.

All these 27 staff were felicitated by Mani Jit Singh, PCCM at an event held in Mumbai on May 5, 2022. Ity Pandey, CCM(PS), Deepak Sharma, ACM (R and TC) and other officers were also present.
