GoAir Undergoes Rebranding as ‘Go First’

Popular Indian airline, GoAir, has announced a rebranding that will change its name to ‘Go First’ with a shifted focus on the ultra-low-cost business model to get out of the financial crunch that has hit the aviation sector as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. 

The airline made the announcement on Thursday amidst talks of readying an initial share sale to boost funds for its expansion plans.

Go First will operate a single aircraft type with its fleet under the ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) tag. 

The airline currently operates Airbus A320 and A320Neo models with the latter bearing the newer engine option. Further details on routes, prices, and so on are expected to be announced imminently.
