As per a report published by Uber for the city of Mumbai, in terms of night journeys, users travelled the most between 2 AM to 5 AM in the city. Dubbing the western region of India as the “sleepless region” of the country, Uber’s report also mentioned cities like Ahmedabad and Surat where late-night trips were apparently popular.
Talking about this report, an official from Uber was quoted as saying “The survey showed that November and December were the favourite months for Indians to leave their cars behind and use Uber. Also, Holi was the favourite festive season for Indians to use Uber, followed by Dussehra and Diwali.”
Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru were the top cities where Uber was used by international travellers. The global cities that saw the maximum Uber rides taken by Indians include London, San Francisco, and Doha.
Uber saw the highest number of trips in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Bengaluru topped the list among the maximum pool rides taken, followed by Delhi and Kolkata.
