Keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of the passengers, all the stations on the bullet train corridor are being equipped with modern, advanced facilities and information systems. Ticket facilities, waiting room, business-class lounge, nursery, washroom, information room are all available at the stations. So, 90 escalators will be installed in a total 12 stations of bullet train.


Work on the 508 km bullet between Mumbai and Ahmedabad is underway. Infrastructure facilities are being built in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Diu-Daman for this project. A total of 12 stations will be constructed, eight in Gujarat and four in Maharashtra. These include stations in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Baroda, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.

The works of these stations are going on and the work is being speeded up. Escalators are being installed in these stations. The first escalator on the bullet train route has been installed at Anand station and 48 escalators will be installed at 8 stations in Gujarat and 42 at 4 stations in Maharashtra. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) officials said that emergency stop button on the escalator, handrails on the escalator to respond immediately in case of emergency for the safety of the passengers will prevent the accident of passengers' fingers getting stuck in it.


Work on stations in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is going on at a fast pace. The work of five stations in Gujarat is in the final stage and the work of three stations in Maharashtra has started. Also foundation laying of Boisar, Virar stations is going on. Also stations in Maharashtra are taking shape based on various concepts.
