Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a new traffic advisory in view of the Maharashtra Day parade to be held at Dadar's Shivaji Park on 1st May 2023. Due to this, many changes have been made in the traffic system in Dadar and surrounding areas.

A notification issued by the Mumbai Traffic Police states that a Maharashtra Day parade is being organised on May 1, 2023 at the Shivaji Park ground in Dadar, Mumbai. Traffic on all roads around Shivaji Park Ground has been diverted from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm to facilitate the parade. The notification further states that in order to avoid inconvenience to the citizens, the following orders are being issued-


Roads closed and one-way open for vehicles

1) L J Road Junction (Gadkari Junction) to South and North Junction N. C. Kelkar Road and Keluskar Road will remain closed for vehicular traffic


2) Keluskar Road South will be 'one-way' for eastbound vehicle traffic, i.e. traffic coming from Swatantra Veer Savarkar Road will be allowed to come through this route.


3) Northbound right turn from Meenatai Thackeray Statue on Keluskar Road will be 'one-way' for westbound vehicular traffic.


4) S. K. Bole Road will be one-way from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church Junction.


5) Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Road will be one-way from Siddhivinayak Junction to Yes Bank.


6) Vehicles going from Siddhivinayak Junction via Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Road take a right turn at Siddhivinayak Junction to S. Proceed through K.Bole Road, take a left turn towards Portuguese Church Gokhale Road-Gadkari Junction-L. J. Road-Raja Bade Chowk will go to the western suburbs.


7) Vehicles are prohibited from Yes Bank Junction to Siddhivinayak Junction. General public vehicles take a right turn at Yes Bank Junction-Shivaji Park Road No. 5-Pandurang Naik Road-Raja Badhe Chowk and proceed to L. J. Road Mumbai- Gadkari Junction- then take Gokhale Road towards South Mumbai.



Parking on these roads will be closed


1) Keluskar Road (Main, South and North)


2) Lt. Dilip Gupte Road from Keluskar Marg (North) to Pandurang Naik Road


3) Pandurang Naik Marg, (Road No. 5)


4) N. Ch. Kelkar Road Gadkari Chowk to Kotwal Garden


5) Sant Dnyaneshwar Road

Parking Instructions for Locals and Other Citizens without Car Pass

Locals and other citizens without car passes should park their vehicles near Plaza Cinema on Dadar West, as well as at BMC's Kohinoor parking lot.
