Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express Train Passengers Will Now Get Free Lifestyle Magazine

The three-year contract for distribution of the magazine has been awarded to M/s Insta Outdoor, Surat, and is expected to generate non-fare revenue of approx. ₹22 lakh over the entire contract period.

Western Railway’s (WR) Mumbai Central Division has launched an o­nboard lifestyle magazine, “Track & Trend”, for passengers travelling by Train Nos. 12009/12010 Mumbai Central–Ahmedabad–Mumbai Central Shatabdi Express. The initiative was formally inaugurated by Shri Tarun Jain, Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Western Railway, in the presence of Shri Adish Pathania, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mumbai Central Division, other officials and representatives.

According to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the magazine will be made available free of cost o­nboard the Shatabdi Express for passengers to read during their journey. It features engaging and informative content covering topics such as lifestyle, travel, health, culture, entertainment and tourism. The initiative aims to enrich the o­nboard travel experience by providing passengers with useful and enjoyable reading material.

The July 2026 edition is the first issue of “Track & Trend” under the contract. This initiative reflects Western Railway’s continued efforts to enhance passenger amenities while exploring innovative avenues for generating non-fare revenue.
