According to an official statement, the platform number on Western railway will remain the same and the first platform on the Central Railway will now get number eight.

The railways have decided to implement the change in platform numbers at Dadar station from December 9.

Considering the confusion faced by the passengers due to platform numbers in Dadar station of Central and Western Railways, the administration decided to give platform numbers a uniformity. It has been decided to number in the queue sequentially from Western Railway to the last platform of Central Railway i.e. Dadar Terminus platform.

According to an official statement, the platform number on Western railway will remain the same and the first platform on the Central Railway will now get number eight.

Western Railway : 1 to 7

Central Railway : 8 to 15

The first platform on the Central Railway's slow line will now be number eight. Existing PF no. 2 will be surrendered for width widening of platform 1. Therefore, platform 3 will be renumbered as 9, platform 4 will be 10, existing platform 5 will be 11, 6 will be 12, 7 will be 13 and 8 will be platform 14.

The announcement system in the Central Railway Notification System along with the platform number will also be changed accordingly. Pedestrian bridges and signposts will also be given new numbers.
