In a major boost to digital ticketing, Mumbai Metro One has witnessed that over one lakh passengers regularly buy e-tickets using the Paytm app, reaching a new milestone.

One97 Communications Limited (OCL) owns the brand Paytm, India’s largest digital payments and financial services company and the pioneer of QR and mobile payments who has helped revolutionised e-ticketing for Mumbai Metro.

With the Paytm app, users can generate a unique QR-based e-ticket for Mumbai Metro One that can be scanned at the entry and exit gates. Mumbai Metro One passengers can also buy digital tickets by scanning Paytm QR standees placed at the metro station. This offers lakhs of daily commuters convenience and saves their travel time. Users can recharge their Metro Smartcard and buy a digital metro card called Store Value Pass as well as a discounted pass called Trip Pass on the Paytm App.

How to buy e-tickets for Mumbai Metro One:

1. On the Paytm app home screen, click on the ‘Mumbai Metro One’ icon under the ‘Ticket Booking’ section

2. Select ‘From’ and ‘To’ metro Stations to generate unique QR based metro ticket

3. Scan this unique QR Code easily at the entry and exit gate of the Metro station.
