Panvel-Uran via Bokadvira ST service finally started after two years

The bus from Uran to Panvel via Bokadvira, which has been closed for two years, started at 6:55 am on Monday. For this, the Janavadi Mahila Sangathan has been pursuing this demand for many days. Their efforts have proven successful. The ST passenger service via Uran Bokadvira has been stopped for the last two years due to the deterioration of the Funde bridge near the CIDCO office on the Uran Panvel State Highway. Due to this, students, workers, common travellers, women going for employment in Bokadvira, Panje, Funde, Dongri, M.R.V.M. Colony had to bear financial hardship.

Citizens have repeatedly demanded CIDCO to fix this bridge, CIDCO officials are ignoring it by giving many reasons. Therefore, since the alternative road is ready, until the bridge is repaired, on behalf of Akhil Bharatiya Janwadi Mahila Sangathan, the demand for starting ST bus via Bokadvira has been pursued for two years. For this, on June 30, he submitted a statement to the headquarters in Mumbai and demanded that the route of ST bus should be made through Bokadvira.

Hemalta Patil, Maharashtra State Vice President of Akhil Bharatiya Janwadi Mahila Sangathan, has given the opinion that after continuous meetings with Uran Tahsildar and Depot Manager, buses on two routes from Uran to Panvel and Uran to Dadar have been started from Monday. Uran depot head Amol Darade has informed that the bus service on this route has been resumed and the first bus at 6:55 am has been started via Uran Bokadvira to Panvel. 

Accordingly Uran-Panvel via Bokadvira will leave at 6:55 am, 8:00 am, 8:05 am, 9:10 am in the morning and at 16:15, 17:20, 17:30, 18:35 in the afternoon. While Uran-Dadar via Bokadvira bus will leave at 7:30 am, 9:25 am, 9:30 am in the morning and in the afternoon the bus will leave at 11:25, 15.30, 17.25, 17.30, and 19.25 hours.
