BEST strike: State transport initiates additional bus services

Amid Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) employees are currently on strike since Monday mid-night, no BEST buses were seen on Mumbai’s road. In order to provide ease to the daily commuters, Maharashtra State Transport has initiated 40 bus services in the city.  

In the wake of BEST bus employee’s strike, Mumbai Metro tweeted and informed that they have also initiated 12 additional train trips to accommodate additional commuters.

ST bus services:

• Kurla (W) to Bandra – 5 buses
• Kurla (East) to Chembur – 5 buses
• Dadar to Mantralaya – 5 buses
• Panvel to Mantralaya – 5 buses
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Mantralaya – 5 buses
• Thane to Mantralaya – 15 buses

The ST administration informed that if needed, they will increase the bus service.
