In a plan to increase more rail services for the commuters travelling from Mumbai to Delhi, Indian Railways has decided to start a Superfast AC Express train. The train will see the green light on February 8, 2019.

According to the railway officials, the superfast express will make two rounds from Mumbai Central to New Delhi and vice versa. In the train, there will be two air-conditioned two-tier coaches along with 10 air-conditioned three-tier class coaches.

The superfast express will leave Mumbai Central railway station on Friday at 4:00 in the afternoon and will reach New Delhi on February 9 at 7:55 in the morning. The train will cover the distance to the country’s capital in just 16 hours. 

Later, the express train will start its journey towards Mumbai on February 9 at 2:50 in the afternoon and will reach the financial capital at 6:55 in the morning the next day.

The special train will stop at Vadodara in Gujarat and Kota in Rajasthan while on its way to Delhi. Meanwhile, the Antyodaya Express has been instructed to halt at Vapi Station for six months, temporarily.
