On the occasion of the Shab-E-Barat, the Western Railway (WR) has announced special trains on the intervening night of February 25-26. For this, two suburban Mumbai local train services will be running from Churchgate ➡️ Virar, departing at 2:35 am and Virar ➡️ Churchgate, commencing at 1:42.

To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of 03.30 hours will be under taken on UP and DOWN Fast lines from 00.30 hrs to 04.00 hrs between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations in the intervening night of Sunday/Monday, i.e. on February 25-26, 2024.
According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, during the block period, all Fast line trains will be operated on Slow lines between Santacruz and Churchgate.
Therefore, there will be NO BLOCK in DAY TIME over Western Railway suburban section on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
