Maharashtra cyber department summons Actress Tamannaah in IPL 2023 illegal streaming case

Maharashtra Cyber Cell has sent summons to actress Tamannaah Bhatia with regards to the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 on the Fairplay app, which cost Viacom crores of rupees. She has been asked to appear before Maharashtra Cyber on April 29.


Tamannaah Bhatia will be questioned in this case as she promoted Fairplay. She is being called for questioning as a witness. The actress will be asked who approached her for Fairplay and how much she got paid for it.


This information has been given on ANI's Twitter handle. Before Tamannaah Bhatia, actor Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in this case on April 23. Sanjay Dutt was summoned, but he said that did not appear on the given date as he was not in Mumbai. He has asked for a date and time to record his statement.

If reports are to be believed, Viacom has lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. Tamannaah Bhatia and Sanjay Dutt have been summoned for questioning in this matter. Rapper Badshah's statement has also been recorded in this case.


Viacom is said to have suffered a loss due to Fair Play. Fairplay is said to have illegally screened Tata IPL 2023, causing a loss of INR 100 crore to Viacom.
