Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the migrant labourers were left stranded away from their homes due to the lockdown. However, Sonu Sood, who is famous for his roles as a villain in movies, turned out to be a hero as he helped the migrants reach home

 In the wake of the coronavirus, the country is now in its fourth phase of lockdown. While this lockdown is essential to break the chain of the virus, but because of it, thousands of people have been stuck in various parts of the country. These people are keen to go back to their homes in different cities of the country.

The plight of the migrant workers etched in visuals of people walking alone, or with their families, friends or in groups from one city to another has been constant during the lockdown. While state governments have been making efforts to help the migrants go back home, Sonu Sood, one of Bollywood’s well-known actor has personally taken up the mantle and has been transporting them back to their home town.

His efforts are being appreciated by one and all. 

So far the actor arranged buses to states like Karnataka, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with the required permissions. He has also set up a toll-free helpline where people can call - 18001213711 and ask for Sonu Sood's help. He has shared that his team will be answering the call and arranging the necessary help.
