Gaomdevi - Amidst the police attacks, once again traffic constable at Opera House was assaulted. On Wednesday Hemant Suryawanshi was monitoring traffic on the one-way road at Opera house. There was a clear sign of no U –Turn despite that many motorists were taking U-Turn. One such car took the turn and which was followed by another car Opera. When constable stopped this driver, he started arguing with him. Meanwhile, another passenger got down from the same car and pushed the constable & also bit him.
Constable took the driver & co-passenger in custody. They were booked under IPC sections of 353,332,504,506 & were taken to court. Following to which, they were released on a surety of Rs 25,000.
