One of the Kurar police officers slapped a lawyer at Kurar police station. A police complaint has been filed about the same.
Advocate Dilip Gupta reached Kurar police station on 26 March when one of the senior officers asked him about a particular case to Gupta, as he was handling that particular case. When the latter refused to say about the same, a senior police officer got angry and slapped him following with the abuse. This news got spread amongst the lawyer's fraternity and a group of lawyers reached police station and marked their protest.
Meanwhile, Deputy commissioner Kiran Kumar Chauhan and assistant police commissioner Subhash Vele reached Kurar police station. They then spoke to the lawyers and assured them of action against the concerned police officer.
