Anurag Kashyap Along With Author Anirban Bhattacharyya Unveils 'The Deadly Dozen: India's Most Notorious Serial Killers'

The Deadly Dozen which is written by co-creator and producer of Savdhaan India, Anirban Bhattacharyya was launched at Title Waves in Bandra on June 6 and was kick-started after showing the book trailer.

Anirban Bhattacharyya is the co-creator and producer of Savdhaan India and ex-Content Head at Channel V. His debut novel 'The Deadly Dozen: India's Most Notorious Serial Killers' which is a heart-wrenching and gripping account of 12 serial killers in India has hit the bookstores and the book was launched at Title Waves in Bandra on June 6. 

Published by Penguin, the book talks about a schoolteacher who killed multiple paramours with cyanide; a mother who trained her daughters to kill children; a thug from the 1800s who slaughtered more than 900 people, a manservant who killed girls and devoured their body parts and more such riveting stories. The event was kick-started by showing the book trailer which gave the audience a glimpse of what they could expect from the book.

The event was hosted by Vrushali Telang, screenwriter and author of best-selling book 'Prime Time Crimeand the book was unveiled by director Anurag Kashyap. Talking about the book Anurag said, " As I have always said that reality is stranger than fiction, these true accounts are gutwrenching and make us question our surroundings. I have adapted 2 of these stories in my movies Paanch and Raman Raghav 2.0 and I'm in the process of making a movie on another story that this book holds".

 After reading an excerpt from the book, author Anirban said, "We feel that bad always happens to others and that's completely a misnomer. I love making the readers feel uncomfortable and make them question the ever-eluding reality. These bone-chilling stories in The Deadly Dozen will take the readers into the hearts and heads of India's most devious murderers and schemers, exploring what made them kill and why".
