Vikhroli- On the anniversary of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray who was also a renowned cartoonist, a children's art competition was arranged by mayor Snehal Ambekar at the Prabondhkar Thackeray Entertainment complex, Parksite, Vikhroli.
The competition, held on Monday, saw participation by 1086 students, among them 373 students from BMC schools and 713 students from private schools. Students from class one to ten took part and created paintings on subjects like female foeticide, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Hamara School and Hamare Digital School.
The winner of the competition will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs 25000, and a certificate. 2nd runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 20,000 and a certificate, and the 3rd runner-up will get Rs 15,000 and a certificate. The result of the competition will be declared after a month.
