Mumbai- Mumbai is home to many sculptors .but Balaram Patil , resident of Ganesh chawl at worli stand out in them .Unlike other sculptors who make idols of goddesses riding a tiger patil is master of idols of goddesses riding a rooster ,which are worshiped by fishermen and agri community.Also Balaram Patil is famous for hand made idols as high as 4 to5 feet of clay .Balaram patil was trained under ace sculptor late Krishna Malwankar for 15 years .He continued this work as dedication to his teacher and use vouchers made under Krishna Malwankar . Currently the idols in his worshops are 3to5 feet high and within price range of rs 8,000 to 10,0000.
