Talking about the film the actor said, "I had never imagined that Tighmanshu Dhulia will come to me for Milan Talkies, as many big manes were associated with it. We started shooting for this after I finished Mirzapur. For the first time, I was a part of a very heartland kind of a film, the story hails from Allahabad so had to get into the skin of that. This story portrays the period of 2010-2013 wherein the craze of single screens started fading away, multiplexes were coming in, movies were changing and technology was very new. The film is also about how in the age of communication there is miscommunication at such huge colossal level and of course there is a love story which the audience will get to see."

Expressing his admiration for Tighmanshu Dhulia he mentioned that he has learned a lot from the actor-director. He learned to be more confident, be it script work or the nuances of being an actor on screen and to be able to stand in front of the camera.
