Recently released Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor's starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui witnessed a collection of ₹5.91 crores on Sunday, December 11. With this, the film's collection over its first weekend reached to ₹14.53 crores.
However, crediting the success of the film to Ayushmann, Actor Ranjit Punia describes the experience of working with him as surreal. Ranjit features with Ayushmann in the upcoming film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ wherein he essays the character of Vaani Kapoor’s brother.
Commenting on the occasion Ranjit said; “Working with Ayushmann was a dream come true. I always admired him for the way he curates the concepts while giving his nod for films. All his films have a fresh approach and break the taboos of Indian society. Not only are his choice of films unconventional but also his zeal to live up to the character he is essaying. His physical transformation for the film was something that left me awestruck. He ensured that he looks like a fitness enthusiast one hundred percent.”
Continuing about his role in ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashqui’ Ranjit said “I cannot disclose much about my role in the film, but let me assure you that the story will shatter many belief systems of the society and can start a progressive dialogue on building an inclusive future wherein every individual is given their due respect. This film is a huge leap of faith for all the cast and the crew. How the story unfolds on the screen and how the audiences react to it is what everyone is waiting for with bated breath.”
Ranjit Punia is an actor who started his journey towards the tinsel town by being a model. After learning the ropes from his mentor Neeraj Kabi – he was a part of many projects like Revenge (Telugu), Khaali Peeli, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Zee5 and Alt Balaji’s Hai Taubba.
