In recent news, the Bihar Police arrived in Mumbai, in order to record the statement of Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister on Wednesday, July 29 in connection to the actor’s death.

Earlier, an FIR was filed by the father of Sushant Singh Rajput against actor Rhea Chakraborty. Rhea, in response, moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the FIR from Patna to Mumbai and the stay on the investigation by the Bihar police on the allegations of Sushant Singh Rajput's father that she allegedly played a role in the suicide of his actor son.

On June 14, Rajput, aged 34, was found hanging from the ceiling of his apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, and since then the Mumbai police has been probing the case keeping in mind the various angles.

Meanwhile, Anil Deshmukh, Maharashtra Home Minister, in the midst of the demands for the transfer of the case to CBI stated that the Mumbai Police are investigating the case and it will not be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

This does not happen to be the first time that Deshmukh has said such a thing as a few days ago, he had stated that there was no foul play adding that the Mumbai Police was ‘competent’ to investigate the case.

In the past, Rhea Chakraborty had requested Amit Shah for a CBI probe. Other celebrities who have been demanding a CBI inquiry over the Sushant Singh Rajput case are Shekhar Suman, Ajaz Khan, etc.

According to the Maharashtra police, statements of 41 people, including filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.
