Actor Samar Vermani is all set to mark his debut in Bollywood with the movie 'Lashtham Pashtham'. Recently, we met this young talent at the press meet where he spoke about the film and his journey in the industry.

Samar will be seen essaying an aimless character in the film. He is that kind of a person who usually discovers life after committing mistakes.

How did your journey begin?
"I had no plans of stepping into the industry. I have completed engineering from Pune. During my college tenure, I got involved in many extra curricular activities which further interested me to take up acting as a profession. Then I shifted to Mumbai and started giving auditions for different roles. My mom was very supportive but my dad didn’t know about the new journey. During the struggle period of 3-4 years before I bagged this film, I have learned a lot and have evolved a lot on my acting craft."

What made you take up ‘Lashtam Pashtham’?
"The content of the film fascinated me, the film depicts a very strong message. I always tell Manav sir (Producer and director) that I the script chose me, I didn't choose the script. Moreover, I am a very patriotic person and I totally believe what the film has conveyed — peace, friendship, love across the borders."

Sharing screen space with late actor Om Puri
"He was the true legend in so many ways that I can write an essay on him. I have learned a lot from him he made me feel so comfortable while I was shooting with him. He used to help me with my lines, the portrayal of the character, how to react in the same way consistently even after multiple takes and still look natural. One thought he believed and also taught me was, ‘Live in the present moment, live in the power of now and life will take you to places’. When he performs in front of you with so much of intensity, I literally used to get goosebumps with every single take he gave."

Finally reciting his acting inspiration Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue, ‘Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish  ki hai’, he feels blessed to be part of 'Lashtham Pashtham' and wishes to reach great heights in the future.

Along with Samar Vermani, 'Lashtham Pashtham' features Vibhav Roy, Om Puri, Tisca Chopra and Ishita Dutta in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on August 10, 2018.
