While Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria are all set to make their Bollywood debut, talented actor Tiger Shroff is excited to be a part of yet another Bollywood franchise, Student of the Year. He will soon be seen as Rohan Sehgal in Dharma Productions' film, SOTY2, a sequel to Karan Johar's release.

A group of media professionals met at the Dharma office in Mumbai to interact with the lead himself, and understand his journey of the film. During the chat with other cast members and Puneet, we realised that Tiger prefers to be prepared every time before the shot. Adding more to this thought, he said, "I love to rehearse a lot before the shot, be it for a scene or a song. I'm not as good as other actors like Alia, and also I make sure that I don't look clueless in front of the camera while others are confident. We play Kabaddi as one of the tasks in the film, and I chose to practise the game a lot to get the body language right. I believe it helps me improve and perform well. Besides this, it is necessary because many of my fans look at my work and they like me doing things my way, what I call, 'Tiger-ism.'"

Tiger, who started his career with Heropanti, is known for his dancing skills and action. These skills have given him an identity and there are very few actors who are so perfect with the moves, be it while dancing or fights. Talking about the 'unique identity' and the fame he has received, Tiger said, "For me, it is a blessing where I have an identity. Every day someone is being launched and with this competition around, how does one stand out. In the West, there are one larger than life heroes. Action is a universal language. Everyone wants to look up to someone and be like them and I feel blessed when kids say this to me. Handling fame is a responsibility. With me, it is a lot of love coming from kids and I feel lucky to have an audience of a different generation. I leave that to my dance and action directors. I let them express their passion through me. However, when I'm not shooting, I'm constantly practising by watching videos."

On the work front, Tiger is also the only actor among the new generation to have a film franchise with Baaghi. Besides this, with SOTY2, he also becomes a part of another franchise. On being asked, if this adds pressure on him, he said, "There is more pressure for me with this film (SOTY2) as I'm an outsider and taking someone's franchise forward to ensure it is carried for future generations. There is more expectation here with my performance. Otherwise, Baaghi is a home ground for me, and so I'm comfortable in that film."

Directed by Puneet Malhotra, SOTY2 will introduce Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. The film will release on May 10, 2019.
