Dharma Productions' chief, Karan Johar, introduced Janhvi Kapoor recently with his film, Dhadak, which was directed by Shashank Khaitan. The film was a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat made it big at the box office, and also helped Janhvi gets a huge fanbase. After a long wait, she will be seen once again in a Dharma Productions' film on Gunjan Saxena.
The announcement of the film was made quite some time back and the news about Janhvi playing the titular character was also revealed. But the presenters announced the release date and the cast of the film, with a poster. Besides Janhvi, the film will star Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar and Manav Vij in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and co-written by him and Nikhil Mehrotra. The story of 'Gunjan Saxena - The Kargil Girl' will release on March 13, 2020.
Dharma Productions' Apoorva Mehta also took to Twitter to share the news, with a message that read, "Feet firm on the ground with eyes looking up at the sky! Gunjan Saxena - #TheKargilGirl releasing on 13th March, 2020."
