With 'chicks' on his hand, Bollywood's recent star and heartthrob, Kartik Aaryan, poses for his new campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India that proclaims, "Chicks Love a Vegetarian.

Talking about the same, Kartik said, "It only took one video of animals suffering and dying in the meat industry to convince me to go vegetarian. The kindest thing anybody can do for cows, pigs, chickens, and all animals is to stop eating them."

Kartik joins Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Hema Malini, R Madhavan, and many other celebrities who earlier teamed up with PETA India to promote healthy, humane meat-free meals.

In a video release titled Glass Walls, PETA India exposed the truth behind the slaughter industry, where chickens killed for food are often shackled upside-down before their throats are slit. The visuals also reveal how cows and buffaloes are crammed into vehicles in such large numbers due to which their bones often break before they're dragged off to the slaughterhouse. Through such campaigns and collaborations, the association strives to promote meat-free life by opting vegan and vegetarian options on a daily basis.

Kartik's photo for the ad was shot by ace photographer Errikos Andreou, his hair was styled by Bashir for Hakim Aalim, and his make-up was done by Waheed Ahmed Shaikh.
