Actress Katrina Kaif has been roped in for filmmaker Rohit Shetty's next 'Sooryavanshi' opposite the Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar.
The duo has worked together previously in movies like 'Welcome', 'Namaste London' and 'Singh is Kinng'. Akshay welcomed the actress by sharing a post on social media. "Welcome to our cop universe Katrina Kaif... Our 'Sooryavanshi' girl," he wrote.

Karan Johar, who is backing the film too shared a photo of himself along with Akshay, Katrina and Shetty. "Welcoming the 'Sooryavanshi' girl on board Katrina Kaif! Releasing on Eid 2020!"
Akshay will be seen essaying the character of Veer Suryavanshi who was introduced as an Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officer in a cameo role in 'Simmba'.
The film is slated to release in the year 2020 and will be clashing with the Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Inshallah'.
