Dostana 2 gets its 2nd male lead; Lakshya to join Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor

Lakshya (earlier known as Laksh Lalwani) has been popular for his TV shows like Porus, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, MTV Warrior High and others, has signed a four-film contract with Dharma Productions, which includes films and digital projects.

Dharma Productions is known for its effort in launching new actors to Bollywood. In the previous produced by the banner, Karan Johar and his team have given Bollywood, actors like Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Ishaan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria. And now, the production house is all set to launch a new actor to Bollywood. 

In a recent announcement, Karan Johar introduced Lakshya, earlier known as Laksh Lalwani, who has been a part of several TV shows in the past. The newcomer to Bollywood will debut with Dostana 2, alongside Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor, and the film will be directed by Collin D’Cunha

Talking about the same, Karan Johar said, “We believe in introducing new talent to the film fraternity. We are proud to have introduced over 20 first-time filmmakers and seven actors in the recent past. We are excited to introduce Lakshya, the newest addition to the family. We will be introducing him in Dostana 2. He was chosen after a series of meticulous auditions and test shoots. We are thrilled to engulf him in our creative world and look forward to creating celluloid magic together.”

Lakshya has a four-film contract with Dharma, which includes films and digital projects. He already has a fanbase as he was seen in TV shows like Porus, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, MTV Warrior High and others. However, it is being said he went through a rigorous selection process that included auditions and photoshoots, after which, he was selected to be a part of the production house’s talent pool.
