Bollywood’s upcoming film, Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmaan Khurana and Sanya Malhotra has been loved ever since the trailer launch. The film has a very different and unique subject, and the audience just cannot stop talking about it. The film also stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in the lead roles.

Talking about the same, Neena Gupta said that times have changed and she is glad that senior actors have been given opportunities to work in content-driven films.

In 2017, Neena took to Twitter to share her views about the roles being offered to veteran actors, where she said, "I am a good actor looking for good parts to play". This message gave her attention and visibility, as she raised a valid point.

The National Award-winning actress, writer and director has been a part of notable films and television shows. In Badhai Ho, she plays a mother of two who gets pregnant again after a long time.

Sharing more thought about the same, Neena said, "Yes...it never used to happen earlier. It feels really nice to be in times where senior actors are getting meaty roles in content-driven films. It's my first full-fledged role in a commercial film, which will have a good release as well. So, I feel very fortunate to be part of this film.”

Adding her take on the subject of the film, she said: "You shouldn't call it an ageless love story. It's an 'ageful' romance and there shouldn't be any kind of objection to it. I think it's a personal choice of a husband and wife if they want to extend their family. It also depends upon various factors which we have talked about in this film is that whether you can afford to have a child, whether your health permits you to look after your child... So, it is between the couple what they want to do in their life."

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures, Badhaai Ho will release on October 19.
