The first look of the movie Malang had made a lot of heads turn. The movie stars Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. According to a recent report, Disha Patani was not the first choice to play the lead role in the movie.
When the director of the movie Mohit Suri was quizzed about the same, he confirmed that it was indeed Kirti Sanon that was approached for this movie first.
While speaking to Bombay Times, Mohit Suri said, "We had approached Kriti. She had even read the script and we were planning out the dates, but it didn't work out."
"As a director, my job was to reach out to an actor. I did that, but then she also received offers for Housefull 4 and Panipat. She would have had to waste six months to be a part of my film, as I was figuring out the dates with other actors. Kriti really wanted to do Malang, but she had to let go of it and choose other films instead. It is as simple as that, and nothing as sensational as the news reports claimed that, 'she has walked out of the project," he added.
Malang is a romantic thriller which will be releasing on Feb 7, 2020. The songs of the movie are already becoming the talk of the town. Let's wait and see how it fares on the box office window.
