Actor Zaheer Iqbal who will be seen marking his debut in Bollywood with the film Notebook is all excited for the release. The movie is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. Actress Pranutan Bahl, daughter of Mohnish Bahl will be seen sharing the screen space along with Zaheer.

Recently when we met this talented debutant for a small chit chat session to know about the film and his experience of working on the project, he said, “I loved the script thoroughly and I think one of the things that attracted me to the script was the fact that it was such an unconventional love story, usually when you hear a love story it is not like this . In past 5-6 years, we have all worked through a lot of scripts and all were pretty much same, girl meets boy or boy meets girl, there is a father who’s is upset and similar stuff. I was happy that nothing sort of was there here and that’s what attracted me to the script at the first place. I also think that we all should explore different love stories, as everyone is getting sort of tired watching the same content and predict the film. As far as Notebook is concerned when you watch the trailer you can sense the story but at the same time curious to know why it is like this."

Zaheer will be seen portraying the character of an ex-army officer‘Kabir’ in the film, elaborating about the character he averred, “ So what have our director has done for these characters is, he has backtracked them. Nitin sir (director) briefed me about the character and backtracked his traits - this is how he is now in life, this is how he behaves, talks and the other characteristics. Nitin sir believe in the ideology of bringing the characters to life through actors. Therefore he used constantly tell me about Kabir. Today if you ask me anything about Kabir, I feel that he is a real guy.”

On being asked about the kinds of films he would love to do in the near future, the actor stated that he wants to focus on those scripts which are commercial as well as content driven. “I love any film that is entertaining obviously the films that I want to do now because as you can see the dynamics, the pulse of the audience is changing. My pulse is changed too. I want to do content-based films which do not mean that I want to arty films. 'Notebook' is a content-based film with a commercial feel however it is not a commercial film. It is a mixture of both- commercial and content and such types of films I want to do", added the actor.

After introducing actors Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain with Loveyatri Bhaijaan Salman Khan is all set to launch Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl with Notebook.

Produced by Salman Khan Films (SKF) and Directed by National award-winning director Nitin Kakkar, film ‘Notebook’ is slated to release on March 29,2019.
