Recently actor-columnist Twinkle Khanna took to Instagram and shared that the Indian Navy uniform (costume) that Akshay Kumar wore in Rustom will be auctioned. The post read, "Using all the goodwill I have left to raise money for a good cause :) Do bid folks! And thank you @karanjohar @hrithikroshan @sonamkapoor and of course @akshaykumar for giving all this fab stuff to @saltscout toward the Janice Smith trust for animal welfare! www.SaltScout.com".


 

After the post went viral, it raised a controversy on social media as a person took to Facebook to express his opinion on why the 'Auction of a naval officer's uniform' is wrong and asked the actress to understand and respect the difference between a costume and a uniform. Amidst the controversy over the auction of the costume, Akshay Kumar said the auction intends to support a good cause and he has not done anything wrong.


 On Tuesday evening Akshay was present at the New India Conclave where he mentioned, "I support my wife on that matter. I and my wife are doing some work with good intention for a good cause. That was a costume that I used in the film. It is going for (for auction) a good cause. I do not think we have done anything wrong. If anyone finds it wrong, then it is okay. I cannot do anything on that.”
