If you are planning an outing for Christmas and New Year's Eve, then keep your financial transactions sorted as from December 21, bank workers might go on a strike.  

The All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC) said that the strike called on December 21 is against Indian Banks' Associations move to leave officers in scale IV and out of the bipartite wage settlement ambit.

Bank workers will go on a strike from December 21, Friday, and services will remain hit till December 26 — except for December 24 which is Monday. Banks will remain closed on December 22, December 23, as being the second Saturday and Sunday respectively. The banks will remain closed on December 25 on account of Christmas.
 

There are 10 lakh bank workers across India. With this strike, bank union has decided to ask for 25 per cent raise in salary. The government has started many schemes. Not only this but central employees' wages have also increased. Yet, the bank employee's pay is comparatively very low," said National Organisation of Bank Worker Deputy president Aswini Rana.
