Demonetisation obstructs demolition

Bandra – Demonetisation has curbed demolition drive of Municipal Corporation. BMC was to demolish the shanties of height up to 14 feet in the areas of Behrampada and Garib Nagar. The police bandobast has been deployed to manage the serpentine queue outside banks. This is the reason why demolition drive has been kept on hold. H/East ward’s Assistant Commissioner, Prashant Gaikwad said, “We are not getting enough police protection to initiate the drive.”
