The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had raided music companies and labels like Universal, T-Series, Saregama, YRF Music and Sony a few days ago and now, they have summoned the owners of the company in connection with the multi-crore royalty-non payment scam.
Chairman of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra, has been asked to come in on November 9, according to ED sources. Along with Chopra, ED has summoned Shridhar Subramaniam, vice-president of Sony Music India and Devraj Sanyal, MD-CEO of Universal Music.
The developments come after Bhushan Kumar, managing director of T-Series, and Vikram Mehra of Saregama music label were both questioned by ED. The department is trying to determine the pending amounts that these companies have to pay.
