Bandra Reclamation - "The circus is the only fun you can buy that is good for you." The Golden Circus, that has currently put up the big top at Reclamation, is facing the brunt of demonetisation. Footfalls have decreased by 60 per cent, say the owners. On an average, the circus bears expenses of Rs 50,000 - Rs 55,000 for smooth operations, but right now, the owners say they don't have the currency to conduct the circus activities with ease. Circus workers have been sent to the banks, but it's hard to get cash after standing in a queue for even a long time, they say. "People pay us Rs 2,000 note while a ticket costs Rs 300. How do we give them the change?" ask the owners.
