Bhandup- Mumbaikars went haywire when they learned about the ban. However, when PM announced that these notes will be accepted at petrol pump, Mumbaikars from Powai, Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg and Bhandup rushed to purchase petrol on 8th midnight and 9th morning. Such was the rush that more than 50 k liters petrol was sold.
