Mumbai – The petrol pump dealers association has taken a decision to keep petrol pumps closed during 12 pm to 5 am the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. This decision came on the backdrop of problems being faced by petrol pump employees due to crowd for exchange of currency notes. The Central government had instructed the petrol pumps, medical shops, railway stations and other important places to accept the scrapped currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000. The decision is taken to avoid conflicts at petrol pumps and to maintain law and order situation in the city, informed the association.
