115 posts of Head Constables are set to be filled in the Armed Border Force, for which the recruitment process has begun. Eligible candidates are invited to make online applications, for the available posts. The last date to do is 22 August 2021.
With 115 total seats available, the position to be filled is that of the Head Constable (Ministerial). Candidates are not only required to have passed the 12th grade, but also have an English typing speed of 35 words per minute on the computer or a Hindi typing speed of 30 words per minute on the computer.
The other qualifications are bifurcated based on gender. Men need to be able to run 1.6 km in 6 minutes and 30 seconds. They also need to be 165 cm in height, whilst those from SC can be 162.5cm. Their chest needs to be 77-82 cm. Women, on the other hand, need to be able to run 800 meters in 4 mins. Their height needs to be 155 cm, whilst those from SC can be 150 cm.
The candidates need to be between 18-25 years as of 22 August 2021. However, 5 years of relaxation have been given to SC/ST and 3 years to OBC.
With Rs 100 examination fee, women, SC/ST or ex-servicemen need not pay anything. The pay scale, according to reports is said to be between Rs 25,500- Rs 81,100. With the job location, all over India, the notification can be viewed here and the application can be viewed here.
