On the other hand, the Maharashtra Government has announced a 1 per cent reservation for orphans in government jobs and education. Although the decision was cleared in the State Cabinet back in 2018, it couldn’t go through due to technical issues that have since been sorted.
State Women & Child Development Minister, Yashomati Thakur said that the state will also offer jobs to candidates who have participated in exams for government jobs but couldn’t get the jobs due to a delay in the results.
