Reliance Industries is taking JioPhone to the next level with the roll-out of a mass-based plan. The company’s pioneer, Mukesh Ambani made a huge announcement at the 41st Annual General Meeting of the company and unleashed the launch of a brand new scheme ‘JioPhone Monsoon Hungama’.

Under the new JioPhone scheme, you can get the brand new JioPhone 2 with added functionalities for an effective entry price of just ₹501 in exchange for your old feature phone. The offer is aimed at common Indian citizens who will be able to purchase the phone at an introductory price of ₹2,999 from August 2018.

With an aim to enable 100 million users on the Jio platform, Reliance Industries is set to create another world record in the shortest possible time through JioPhone 2. Owing to a strong retail presence 25 million Jio users in India, the JioPhone has taken the country by storm.

The new JioPhone 2 has a 2.4-inch display and comes with a QWERTY keypad and a four-way navigation key. It has a 2000mAH battery support and a dual sim slot. The phone has a 2 MP rear camera, just like the earlier version. It is powered by a dual-core processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of built-in storage. The feature phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. The smartphone supports SD card and has an expandable storage up to 128 GB.

You will also be able to run WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube applications on the new JioPhone 2.
