The long wait is over! GST rates are out

The long wait of the people over what goods will be cheaper and what will be more expensive is now over. The Goods and Service Tax will now be applicable from 1st July onwards. Under the new structure that has been rolled out, 1,211 items, the GST will be charged at 12, 18 and 28 percent respectively.

Hence, according to the new structure of the GST, electronic goods such as TVs, ACs, fridges, mobile bills, insurance premiums, eating at restaurants, entertainment etc is going to be expensive whereas processed food, aviation will be cheaper. Moreover, milk, food grains, education and health have been made tax free.
