This Maharashtra has been made by the sweat of workers and labourers and the government is determined to create inclusive development by taking all the members of the society along with it. Maharashtra governor Ramesh Bais appealed here on Monday that let us all come together to build a strong Maharashtra.


The 63rd anniversary of the state was celebrated with various activities across the state. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Local People's Representative, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Additional Chief Secretaries of various departments and senior officials were present at the main ceremony held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan (Shivaji Park) in Dadar.


Governor paid tribute to the martyrs
On this occasion, by wishing the Marathi people all over the world on Maharashtra Day, the Governor paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed for the creation of United Maharashtra and also mentioned that this Maharashtra was made by the sweat of workers and labourers and wished them on the occasion of International Labour Day. 


Shiv Rajyabhishek Festival will be organised 

Stating that along with the achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Phule, Ambedkar, Shahu Maharaj, Lokmanya Tilak and many others have enriched Maharashtra socially, the Governor said, this is the 350th year of Shivaji Maharaj's coronation. On this occasion, Shiv Rajyabhishek Festival will be organised from June 2 to 9, 2023.

Museum on the biography of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivneri Fort

Also, a museum based on the biography of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be established at Shivneri fort. Apart from this, he also said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Concept Park will be set up at Ambegaon in Pune. After Corona, emphasis is being laid on job creation by reviving the economy of the state.


Various welfare schemes

In the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, the treatment limit has been increased from INR 1.5 lakh to INR 5 lakh per annum. Apart from this, 200 new hospitals are being included in this scheme. Construction of 14 government medical colleges in the state will be done on priority. A special ward for transgender has been started in the GT hospital. 1.25 lakh jobs have been made available by signing agreements with 45 different industries and industrial groups. Maharashtra State Skill University has been established to make the youth employable. At least 500 youths in each district will be given training and employment in the field of tourism and hospitality.


Appointment letters to candidates

For the first time, Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde handed over letters of appointment / recommendations to 10 candidates selected for various posts in government service on the occasion. The candidates have been selected for the department of Land Records, State Excise and GST.
