Around 1,000 police personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order during the Coldplay concert in Navi Mumbai, the police said on Friday, January 17.

As part of the 'Music of the Spheres World Tour', the British rock group will hold three shows at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21.

Around 45,000 fans are expected to attend the event. Tight security arrangements have been made, a press release issued by the Navi Mumbai Police said.

As part of this arrangement, 70 officers and 434 police personnel will be present at the stadium, the press release said. Also, 21 officers and 440 police personnel will be deployed outside the stadium every day.

Heavy vehicles coming from Uran, Nhavasheva, Pune and Thane have been banned in the area during these days. Thane city police have also issued similar directives, banning the movement of heavy vehicles within their limits.

There will be designated parking spaces during the event. Moreover, the traffic police department has issued advisory for smooth flow of vehicular movement on the days of concert.
