Mumbai- The Bombay High Court has ordered the Kothari building not to raze the 168 year old Vitthal temple at Girgaon’s Vaidyawadi.
The Kothari builders were planning to erect a parking zone for a residential tower. However, two years ago, MNS president Raj Thackeray took a stand against the builder and so the project came into the spotlight. This was followed up by the MNS party workers who did not let the builder win the fight against the nearly two century old temple. “This decision has given hope to devotees,” said MNS ward president Dhanraj Naik.
