25 passengers died in a terrible accident where the bus caught fire on the Samruddhi highway in Buldhana. The passengers have been charred to death.

It is believed that the bus hit the divider and caught fire. 

The bus was traveling from Nagpur towards Pune on the Samruddhi Highway. At that time, the accident took place near Pimpalkhuta village near Sindkhed Raja in Buldhana district. This incident took place around half past midnight. 32 passengers were sitting in this bus. Out of them 25 passengers died.

The injured passengers have been shifted to Buldhana civil hospital for the treatment.

CM announced an aid of INR 5 lakh
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed deep grief over the horrific accident of a private bus on the Samruddhi highway near Sindkhed Raja in Buldhana district. Expressing condolences to the deceased and their families, the Chief Minister has announced an aid of INR 5 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the relatives of the deceased in this unfortunate incident.

CM orders inquiry

Expressing that he is distressed by this terrible accident, the Chief Minister has ordered an inquiry into the incident. As soon as the information about the accident came, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted the Collector and Superintendent of Police of Buldhana on phone and took information about the incident. While giving instructions to provide immediate help to the accident victims, the Chief Minister also directed to provide immediate medical treatment to the injured at government expense.

As soon as the information about the accident came to light, the emergency medical service team deployed for the highway as well as the fire brigade reached the spot and started the rescue operation. The injured passengers were removed and admitted to the hospital.
