There have been protests across the country against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) that has been recently passed by the Parliament. Even Mumbaikars joined in the protest. Hundreds of people gathered at Carter Road in Bandra on Wednesday, December 18 to peacefully protest against CAA. Even today, there are a few protests being organised including the one at August Kranti Maidan today. It is expected that actor Farhan Akhtar will be joining in the protest along with film-maker Anurag Kashyap.
Taking all these factors in mind, Mumbai Police had advised the following traffic updates:
1. There would be no entry for vehicles from Nana Chowk Junction to Kemps Corner Signal (both bounds).
Following are the traffic diversions:
2. There will be parking at Shastri Hall to Bhatia Hospital, Warden Court to Bhagwan Parshwanath Chowk and Javji Dadaji Chowk.
3. There will be no parking at August Kranti Road, Sletter Road to Grant Road Railway station, Forjet street and the surrounding street of August Kranti Road is declared as a 'No Parking Zone'.
